WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team fell at Wilkes University 3-0 on Wednesday evening. Set scores were 25-14, 25-12 and 25-21.
Trey Edmonds led the Knights with 14 kills.
Noah Banaag handed out 15 assists.
Arian Santos tallied seven digs and Banaag added six.
The Colonels opened the match by scoring the first eight points and gained a 14-2 advantage. A couple kills by
John Soeffing and Edmonds put Neumann in double-digits, but Wilkes came away with a 25-14 first set win.
Wilkes jumped out to an early lead in the second set and used a six-point run to take a 14-4 lead. With a service ace, the Colonels took set two 25-12.
The Knights and Colonels went back and forth in the third set. While tied at 20, Wilkes scored the next four points for set and match point. Edmonds tallied one more kill before the Colonels took set three 25-21.
Neumann (1-6) is right back on the court tomorrow when it travels to Widener beginning at 7:30 PM.
