Men’s Basketball to Challenge Marymount in Conference Semis

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Basketball team will continue their quest for the 2025-2026 Atlantic East Conference Tournament championship on Thursday night when they visit Marymount University in a rematch of last year's final.

Neumann, the number four seed, has an overall record of 17-9 and was 8-6 in conference play during the regular season. The Knights earned their spot in the semifinal with a First-Round win over Marywood, 84-66, on Tuesday night. Jayson Love led the offense with 20 points. Bryan Etienne and Donte Dupriest added 19 points each with Dupriest grabbing 13 rebounds, six on the offensive glass, for his 15th double-double of the season.

Marymount won the Atlantic East regular season title with a conference record of 13-1, earning them the top seed and a first-round bye. Overall, they're 16-8. The Saints swept the two-game regular season series against the Knights, but both games were very close throughout. On January 14th at the Mirenda Center, a buzzer-beating three pointer led to a 58-57 Marymount win. In the return match-up on February 4th, the Saints took a 58-54 win on their home court.

Neumann and Marymount have combined to win the last four conference crowns, and each has won it twice over that span. Thursday's opening tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM at the Converse Family Fieldhouse in Arlington, Va.
