ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up an 80-61 win over Saint Elizabeth University on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action.
Jayson Love led the Knights with 28 points, including five three-pointers.
Donte Dupriest netted 19 points.
Jarell Keel notched a double-double with 15 rebounds and 14 points.
Bryan Etienne added 11 boards.
Izaiah Johnson Young-El tallied eight points and handed out seven assists.
After the Eagles scored the first basket of the game, the Knights put 10 straight points on the board. Saint Elizabeth would pull as close as five during the rest of the half. A buzzer-beating three-pointer by Johnson Young-El put Neumann up 40-37 at the half.
The Eagles would again get as close as five in the second half. With the Knights leading 54-49 midway through the half, Neumann went on a 9-0 run to extend its lead to 14, 63-49. The Knights continued to build their lead and held a double-digit advantage for the rest of regulation to come away with the 80-61 conference win.
Neumann (13-8, 5-5 Atlantic East) heads to Pratt Institute on Wednesday evening for more Atlantic East action beginning at 7:00 PM.
