ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team flew past Eastern University 17-3 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
 
Krista Geibler led the Knights with five goals and four assists. Alena Catka tallied five goals, two assists and five draw controls. Rachel Roane added two goals, two assists and five draw controls. Gracie Kucia also scored two goals. Maggie Miller grabbed six ground balls, caused six turnovers and added two assists.
 
Kucia opened the scoring in the first minute of the game. Catka tallied the next two goals for a 3-0 Neumann lead. The Knights took a 6-0 advantage before the Eagles found the back of the net. Neumann scored two more goals in the first quarter for an 8-1 lead.
 
Neumann scored five goals in the second quarter. Eastern found the net in the final minute before the break for a 13-2 score at halftime
 
Adriana O'Heron scored her first goal of the season as each team scored a goal in the third quarter. The Knights wrapped up the game with three goals in the fourth quarter, including two by Geibler, for the 17-3 final.
 
Neumann (2-3) heads to Jefferson tomorrow afternoon for non-conference action beginning at 3:00 PM.
