ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team picked up a 4-3 win over Cairn University on Thursday afternoon as the Knights opened their spring season.
 
Alura Troilo and Molly McGee opened the match with a 6-4 win at first doubles. The Knights took the doubles point with a forfeit at third doubles.
 
In singles action, Casey McGee battled to a 7-5, 6-4 win at fourth singles. Lyndsie Crawford won 6-2, 6-2 at fifth singles. The Knights took the match after the Highlanders forfeited sixth singles.
 
"Some days I'm not playing my opponent, I'm playing my own doubts, and winning means not giving in," says Crawford on the win.
 
Neumann (2-1) gets into Atlantic East action on Saturday when it welcomes Pratt to Aston for a 12:00 PM start.
