WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to King's College (Pa.) on Friday evening. Set scores were 25-13, 25-9 and 25-11.
Trey Edmonds tallied six kills for the Knights.
Noah Banaag handed out 13 assists.
Arian Santos notched eight digs.
The Monarchs scored the first four points of the match before Edmonds notched a kill for the Knights first point. King's scored six straight points in the middle of the set to extend its lead. As the Monarchs sat at set point, Neumann was able to set two more points before a service error finished the first set, 25-13.
King's had a few long rallies in the second set, including the final seven points for the 25-9 set two final. With the Monarchs leading 6-4 in set three, King's scored six straight points to build on its lead. The Monarchs took set three 25-11 and the set 3-0.
Neumann (3-12) is back in conference action on Wednesday when it heads to Saint Elizabeth's starting at 7:00 PM.
