ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann University Women's Tennis team dropped a 7-0 match against Rowan College of Gloucester County on Wednesday in non-conference play.
The number one doubles team of
Kayleigh DellaVecchio and
Molly McGee dropped a 6-3 decision while
Casey McGee and
Lyndsie Crawford fell, 6-2, clinching the doubles point. Crawford, in the fifth doubles match, forced three sets. After falling in the first set, 6-1, she bounced back with a 6-4 set, forcing the tiebreaker. It was tight but she ultimately fell, 10-8.
Natalie Hackett in the sixth singles match fell 6-1 in the first but battled in the second, dropping a 7-5 set.
Neumann (2-4, 0-1 Atlantic East) will be back in action on Sunday afternoon when they head to Scranton, Pa. for a conference match against Marywood University starting at 1:00 PM.
