CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University Track & Field teams took a short trip to Widener University for the two-day Paul Donahue Invite.
In the men's 100,
Nahshon Harrison-Fobbs was the lone Neumann competitor, and he earned a personal best time of 11.26 seconds.
Ethan John also picked up a personal best in the 200 with a time of 22.15.
Bryan Castro worked the 800 to a time of 2:05.71, and the 1500, with a time of 4:24.52. The team of
Jamar Davis, Harrison-Fobbs, John, and
Ty Billingslea finished the 4x400 meter relay in a time of 3:37.01.
On the women's side, Gianna Manley-Perez and
Leilia Dennis competed in the 100-meter race with times of 13.98 and 14.67.
Ciana Rosado picked up a time of 1:03.67 in the 400, besting her time from Thursday's meet by .02 seconds for a new personal best. She also got a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:16.54. In the 800,
Val Castillo smashed her personal best by 6 seconds with a time of 2:45.58. She also beat her best 1500 by 16 seconds with a time of 5:48.54. The team of Manley-Perez, Castillo, Rosado, and Dennis finished the 4x100 relay with a time of 53.98 seconds.
In the field events, Dennis finished the high jump at 1.40 meters.
Kyleigh Joniec was the top javelin thrower with a distance of 32.26 meters.
Savanah Kirk and
Alli Siravo were close to each other with throws of 17.58 and 17.35.
Sydney Wilson rounded out the Knights' participation with a 16.02. Manley-Perez competed in the long jump with a leap of 3.51 meters. Finally, in the shot put, Siravo led with a 9.02. Kirk followed with a 7.94, a personal best, and Wilson had a 7.62.
Neumann will now look forward to competing at the Penn Relay later this week at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
