ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Department of Athletics and Recreation is thrilled to announce the addition of Brandon Reese as their new Women's Flag Football Coach.
Reese comes to Neumann from Landsale Catholic High School, where he has served as head coach since 2023. He's led the Crusaders to a record of 53-10 and in 2025, won the Philadelphia Catholic League championship, with Reese earning PCL Coach of the Year honors. This past season, they finished with a 10-1 record for a tie for first place. In 2022, as an assistant coach, he spearheaded their efforts on their way to the Pennsylvania State title.
Brandon Reese remarked, "I am truly honored and excited to accept the position of Head Coach of the Neumann University Women's Flag Football program. I would like to sincerely thank Athletic Director
John Krimmel, Deputy Director of Athletics
Gina McLaughlin, and University President Dr. Chris Domes for their trust and confidence in me. I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Neumann family and help lead this program into an exciting new chapter.
Throughout my coaching career, I've learned that successful programs are built by developing great people first. My goal is to create a culture centered on accountability, hard work, and genuine relationships while helping our student-athletes grow as competitors, leaders, and individuals both on and off the field.
I can't wait to get to work with our players, connect with the campus community, and represent Neumann University with pride. Together, we're going to build a championship-caliber program that our student-athletes, alumni, and the entire Neumann community can be proud of for years to come."
The 2025 Temple University graduate has been involved in the sport at the highest levels, starting in 2022 as a Flag Football Organizer for the National Football League. Concurrently, he was the Assistant Director of the Youth Flag Football Tournament Circuit for Flag Football Life. He's also been a game official for NFL Flag Football since 2021, and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association since January of this year.
"I am excited to officially welcome Brandon Reese to the Neumann Knights family", said
John Krimmel, Director of Athletics and Recreation. "Brandon brings a strong background in flag football and a proven track record of success that make him an outstanding fit for Neumann. His energy, passion, and commitment to building a strong team culture position him perfectly as we enter this new era of Women's Flag Football. Brandon's experience as a high school coach, referee, his military service, and his involvement in youth sports provide a tremendous foundation to build something truly special here. I look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes with our program—both on and off the field—and to watching the championship-level culture he develops, grounded in our Franciscan values and mission."
Here is a quote from one of his colleagues:
"Congratulations to Coach Reese on a well-earned opportunity to coach on the collegiate level.
While we've been rival competitors for years, I've always had tremendous respect for the way he has led his high school program.
His teams were always well prepared, well disciplined, had an excellent understanding of field spacing, knowledge of the game and regardless of talent level, his teams always competed with such a high level of intensity, it often rivaled a playoff atmosphere week in week out every season - a direct reflection of his leadership and commitment to his student-athletes.
Although I'll miss competing against him, it's exciting to see him earn this prestigious opportunity to take the next step in his coaching career. This move is a testament to the hard work, passion, and excellence he has consistently demonstrated to the sport of flag football.
I have no doubt that Neumann University is gaining an extraordinary asset in Coach Reese. His leadership, character, and commitment to developing young women make him an exceptional addition to your athletic program.
I expect the great things from the Neumann University women's flag football program under his tutelage." – Jim Savage, Archbishop Wood High School Head Coach.
