Jordan Illian – Senior (Millsboro, Del.)

Q: What is your major and why did you choose it?
A: "My major is Education, because I want to help kids when I'm done playing soccer" 

Q: How long have you been playing your sport and what inspired you to start playing? 
A: "I've been playing since I was five, it was the sport I felt that I could be myself and I enjoyed." 

Q: What is your favorite memory from your sport at Neumann? 
A: "My favorite memory was winning the AEC my first year at Neumann." 

Q: What does it mean to you to be selected as a captain and what are you most looking forward to in that role? 
A: "Being selected as a captain while being able to represent this school and team is an honor. It means a lot to feel that the coaching staff and the team trust me." 

Q: What is your dream job or career after graduating from Neumann? 
A: "My dream job after graduating from Neumann is to play professional soccer." 

Q: What advice would you give to underclassmen student-athletes who are just beginning their collegiate careers? 
A: "The advice I would give to underclassmen is just to be yourself and enjoy every moment, because four to five years go by quickly. Enjoy the moments that you're in, and just love everything that you do, and love God." 


Luke Mejia – Senior (Forest Hill, Md.) 

Q: What is your major and why did you choose it? 
A: My major is psychology and I am also in Neumann's accelerated 4+1 master's program in forensic psychology. While also pursuing a minor in history. I choose psychology after a class I took in high school and felt a strong passion for what goes in the mind and all the other wonders. Specifically in the criminal field of why certain people act a certain way and how to help. 

Q: How long have you been playing your sport and what inspired you to start playing? 
A: I have been playing my sport for as long as I can remember all the way back to elementary school. My dad and older brothers were a big reason why I played soccer and watching iconic players like Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldo. One of my oldest brothers Javier Mejia just recently graduated from Neumann and was on the Neumann's Men's soccer team  

Q: What is your favorite memory from your sport at Neumann? 
A: My favorite memory from playing soccer here at Neumann was my freshman year. where we won the AEC and took the trip down to Mary Washington for an NCAA game and took the number two ranked team in the nation to double overtime. 

Q: What does it mean to you to be selected as a captain and what are you most looking forward to in that role? 
A: To be selected as cabin as the new Midland Saga team, it means a lot. You know, all the hard work from the last three years, three consecutive championships, to be looked at as one of the guys that can hopefully bring one more into my senior year means a lot. And I also look forward to hopefully leading the team to another championship, along my fellow seniors and on the last ride with four championships in four years. 

Q: What is your dream job or career after graduating from Neumann? 
A: My dream job or career after graduating from Neumann is something in the government field, be it a CIA or working with the FBI, just helping the world be a better place and figure out what goes on in criminals' minds. 

Q: What advice would you give to underclassmen student-athletes who are just beginning their collegiate careers? 
A: Some advice I would give to the underclassmen is that you don't need to figure it all out at once. You know, not only is it a physical game, but it's also a mental game. You know, you have all your schoolwork, but you also must come to practice prepared and it's just about managing your time well and just being in the moment and being present. 

Or Megnazi – Junior (Zichron Yaakov, Israel)

Q: What is your major and why did you choose it? 
A: I chose business as my major because my dad is an entrepreneur himself. I was intrigued to develop and educate myself about core business skills at high school and continued to then open my own business at graduation. With the experience in the business world. I have decided to continue pursuing it as my major to keep learning. 

Q: How long have you been playing your sport and what inspired you to start playing? 
A: I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. Back in my hometown in Israel, there were no soccer teams available for my age. However, I was determined to start playing and gathered a coach attention to open a soccer team for me if I can recruit all my friends to join the team with me. Done so successfully, I have started a long and continuous journey of playing soccer consistently up until this day. 

Q: What is your favorite memory from your sport at Neumann? 
A: Winning the championship in my first year playing for Neumann has been far the greatest team achievement. Making it to the National tournament and reaching a season record with the team. 


Landon Moroney – Senior (Haddon Township, N.J.) 
Q: What is your major and why did you choose it? 
A: "I am a nursing major, and I chose this because I've always been interested in medicine and there are a lot of different job opportunities that I can experience and pursue after school." 

Q: How long have you been playing your sport and what inspired you to start playing? 
A: "I've been playing soccer since I was around five, so over 15 years. I grew up watching soccer with my family and especially my dad. He is the one who really got me into it and inspired me to start playing myself, and he even coached me for a couple of years when I was little." 

Q: What is your favorite memory from your sport at Neumann? 
A: "My favorite memories at Neumann have come from winning the AEC all three years and being able to travel to different places and hangout with the team." 

Q: What does it mean to you to be selected as a captain and what are you most looking forward to in that role? 
A: "Being selected as captain for the past couple seasons means a lot, and I'm grateful for the opportunity that the coaches and the guys have given me. It means a lot that I'm someone that they can kind of look up to and lean on when needed. It's also a little bit of kudos to my parents as well, just for being role models and just kind of showing me and demonstrating how to carry myself. In the season, I'm just kind of looking forward to getting to work with the guys, and I think we have a really special group, so I'm just looking forward to building on that." 

Q: What is your dream job or career after graduating from Neumann? 
A: "My dream job after Neumann would probably be to go back to school to try to become either a nurse anesthetist or a nurse practitioner." 

Q: What advice would you give to underclassmen student-athletes who are just beginning their collegiate careers? 
A: "Some advice for the underclassmen would probably be just to find a routine that works for you. I think that's just as important as trying to balance sports, academics, relationships, and wanting to have fun with your friends." 


Owen Rem – Sophomore (West Milford, N.J.) 

Q: What is your major and why did you choose it? 
A: "I chose my major, athletic training, because I want to stay in sports after I finish my athletic career, and I love to help people." 

Q: How long have you been playing your sport and what inspired you to start playing? 
A: "I started playing soccer when I was able to walk, and it's all dedicated to my dad, who got me into soccer." 

Q: What is your favorite memory from your sport at Neumann? 
A: "My favorite memory has to be winning the Atlantic East Championship and getting the winning assist in that game." 

Q: What does it mean to you to be selected as a captain and what are you most looking forward to in that role? 
A: "It's an honor and a privilege to represent my team as well as my school. I'm most looking forward to winning games and hopefully MAC games as a leader." 

Q: What is your dream job or career after graduating from Neumann? 
A: "I would like to be a head athletic trainer at a professional sports team and help all the athletes win in their respective sports." 

Q: What advice would you give to underclassmen student-athletes who are just beginning their collegiate careers? 
A: "Work hard and enjoy the moment because it's not going to last forever."
