Neumann University Athletics

Matt Spillman, of the baseball team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week.

Spillman was named the CSAC Pitcher and ECAC South Co-Pitcher of the Week.

Spillman improved to 7-1 on the year as he pitched a complete nine inning game, only allowing four hits and one walk against Gwynedd-Mercy College in a 4-1 win. Both the Knights and Griffins were battling for the No. 2 seed in the CSAC and Spillman helped the Knights by limiting the Griffins to a .125 batting average in the game.
