Neumann University Athletics

Nafisa Saunders, of the women's basketball team, is this week's Neumann University Athlete of the Week. 

Saunders averaged 26.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week for the Knights. Her week high was 36 points, including going 24-for-30 from the free throw line, in a win over Hood College in the first game of the Neumann Tip-Off Tournament. The Knights then defeated Western New England to win the Tip-Off Tournament and the senior was named the tournament MVP. She was also named the Atlantic East Player of the Week for the second straight week.
