ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Neumann College men's soccer team played in the second half of the Moravian-Muhlenberg Classic today. The Knights kept pace with the Mules finishing the first half tied 0-0. However, the second half became a one man show as the Knights watched Muhlenberg's Tom Reilly complete a hat trick to make the final score 4-0 in favor of the home team.
Muhlenberg went on top 1-0 in the 47th minute. Both teams settled back down and played steady soccer for the next 20 minutes before Reilly began his scoring spree. Reilly scored in the 67th, 79th and 80th minute of play.
Neumann's head coach Kevin Sloan stated, "We clearly have to get our back line in order. We gave them too many open looks today and when you do that you get hurt." Neumann was out shot 20 to 7.
Neumann will play again on September 6, 2008 against Montclair State. Neumann falls to 0-2 on the season.
