TOWSON, Md. – The Neumann College women's tennis team lost a close match at Goucher College, 5-4, Sunday afternoon.

Goucher won No. 5 singles for final point of the afternoon as Mara Bergman defeated the Knights Michelle Steward, 6-3, 7-5.

Neumann (4-6) led the match after doubles play, 2-1. Alice DeTolla and Rachel Coladonato won their No. 2 match, 8-6, and the duo of Lindsey Ravior and Michelle Steward won No. 3 doubles, 8-2.

In singles play, DeTolla won her match at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-3. Coladonato defeated her opponent at No. 6 singles, 7-5, 6-0.

The Knights will travel to Penn State-Berks on Tuesday for a non-conference match. Action is set to start at 4 p.m.
