BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Neumann College women's ice hockey team shut out Buffalo State, 7-0, Saturday afternoon in ECAC West action.

The Knights had eight players with two points in the game. Nicki Blazenko scored two goals for Neumann. Holly Williams, Vicki Scott, Jasper Thomson and Nicole Alexopoulos all had a goal and an assist. Jessica Schroeder, Janelle Marier and Stephanie Nakamura all notched two assists.

Neumann scored four goals in the first period. Diane Peters opened the scoring four minutes into the game with a power play goal. Thomson, Blazenko and Williams also netted goals in the first.

Scott scored her goal in the second to put Neumann up 5-0 heading into the third.

Blazenko scored a power play goal at the 13:11 mark of the third. Alexopoulos capped the scoring at the 16:46 mark of the third period,

Mel Brunet made 32 saves for the shut out. Neumann is now 13-10 overall and 10-6 in the league. The Knights will wrap up the regular season with two home games next weekend as they host Chatham.
