Women's Tennis Drops 5-4 Decision To Goucher

ASTON, Pa. - Neumann University women's tennis team fell to Landmark non-conference opponent Goucher College, 5-4, Wednesday afternoon.

The Knights took two of three doubles points.  Ali DeTolla and freshman Maria Evans defeated Joan Pulupa and Meaghan Lee, 8-6 at first doubles. Senior duo Kayla Chamberlain and Allison Trout battled past Mara Bergman and Ada Maxwel, 9-8 (7-5) at third doubles.

Neumann fell three spots in singles play. Jasper Thomson won at second 6-3, 6-2 over Pulupa. Lindsey Ravior fell at fourth singles, taking Lee to three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6). Michelle Steward won at fifth singles defeating Casey, 6-2. 6-2.  Freshman Gabrielle Porcelli dropped at sixth singles, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 to Leah Rocktashel.

The team returns back to the courts tomorrow when they start their conference competition against Philadelphia Biblical University. The match is set to start at 3:30pm.
