ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Buffalo State Sunday afternoon with a 5-1 win in ECAC West action.

Nikki Blazenko and Khristine Acosta each had a goal and an assist. Jessica Schroeder added two assists. Shannon Donnelly made 23 saves in net.

Blazenko notched the only goal of the first period at the 9:24 mark. Lynsey Nakamura and Schroeder assisted on the goal.

Jennie Greenlee scored her first goal of the season and the eventual game-winner 5:31 into the second period. Kayla Dubowski and Acosta assisted. Brittany Metcalfe also netted her first goal of the season on a slap shot from the point. Schroeder and Blazenko notched the assists.

Buffalo State ended the shutout bid with a goal with 5:22 left in the second period. Neumann held the 3-1 lead after two periods of play.

Jasper Thomson scored off of a face-off by Dru Austin to make the score 4-1. Acosta then tallied on an empty net for an insurance goal and the 5-1 final. Diane Peters assisted on the empty netter.

Neumann (4-2, 4-2 ECAC West) will travel to Rochester Inst. of Technology on December 3 & 4 in conference action.
