TOWSON, Md. – The Neumann University women's tennis team fell to Goucher College 9-0 on Monday afternoon in its first non-conference match.

Bre Klar put up a fight at first singles, falling 7-5, 7-5. The Duo of Gabrielle Porcelli and Teresa Kozin fell 8-6 at second doubles.

“The girls played with a lot of heart, pride and determination.  Breanne Klar played very well at number one singles today.  Even though her score did not show it, she came back from being down in the first set, keeping her game scores close and playing out long rally's with her opponent,” said Head Coach Kayla Chamberlain.

Neumann (2-4) heads back to conference play on Friday when it heads up to Cedar Crest College. The match is slated to begin at 3:30 PM.
