Box Score

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team had their two game win streak snapped, as non-conference Salve Regina University skated to a 3-2 win, Tuesday afternoon.

The Knights staged a comeback that came up short with Ang Gilmour assisting on both goals.

Salve Regina opened the scoring in the first period with two power play goals and take a 2-0 lead.

The Seahawks went the more conventional route, as they scored at even strength 6:47 into the second period to take a 3-0 lead.
The Knights killed off a two man Seahawks advantage and just as Lindsey Spatola was released from the sin bin, Dru Austin scored with 10 seconds remaining in the second period. The Knights trailed 3-1 after two periods.

Midway through the third period, Danica Delry scored off a mad scramble in front of the net. Gilmour and Edie Brenning assisted on the goal.

The Knights had a great opportunity that went begging when they had a power play with six minutes remaining in the game, but nothing came to fruition from their hard work.

Shannon Donnelly made 33 saves in the game.

The Knights (4-5-1, 2-4 ECAC West) travel to Cortland State Friday January 11, slated for a 3 p.m. face-off.
