GENEVA, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team fell 3-2 in overtime at William Smith College in ECAC West action on Saturday afternoon.

Bek Lucas had a goal and an assist for the Knights. Justina Mayr made 19 saves in net. Neumann outshot William Smith 59-22.

After a scoreless first period, the Herons scored first with a shorthanded goal at the 16:03 mark of the second period.

Lucas tied the game at one at the 11:55 mark of the third period on an unassisted goal. Shanelle Doucette put the Knights up 2-1 four minutes later. William Smith evened the score at two with 1:26 left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

The Heron scored on the power play 57 seconds into overtime to win the game 3-2.

Neumann (0-7, 0-5 ECAC West) will face off with William Smith tomorrow afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM.
