UTICA, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team fell at Utica College 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in ECAC West action.

Utica scored two quick goals midway through the first period to take a 2-0 advantage. The Pioneers added a third goal early on in the second period.

Neumann spoiled the shutout 1:16 into the third period as Lauren Cusack found the back of the net. Angela Gilmour drew the assist. The Knights would not be able to put together a comeback and fell 3-1.

Justina Mayr made 26 saves in net.

Neumann (5-13-1, 2-8-1 ECAC West) and Utica (14-6, 7-4 ECAC West) will face-off again tomorrow afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM.
