PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team doubled up Chatham University 2-1 in ECAC West action on Friday evening.

The Cougars opened the scoring quickly, finding the back of the net just 30 seconds into the game. Zoe Harkins pulled the Knights even at one at the three minute mark off a pass from Amanda Simpson.

Megan Russelo gave the Knights a 2-1 lead 1:42 into the second period. Kelly Fox assisted on the eventual game-winner.

Chatham pulled its goalie with 2:10 left in regulation to try and tie the game, but Neumann held on for the 2-1 win. Justina Mayr made 33 saves in net for the win.

Neumann is now 7-15-2 overall and 5-11-1 in ECAC West action. The two teams will face off again tomorrow afternoon in the regular season finale. Puck drop is slated for 12:00 PM.
