NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The top performers on both the men's and women's track and field teams traveled north to compete in the ECAC Division III Championships in Connecticut on Thursday.
The men's team picked up two first place medals on the day. Andrew Konieczny earned first place in the 800 Meter run with a time of 1:53.59, while
Kevin Deal topped the Shot Put event with a throw of 12.94 meters. These marks were season bests for the Neumann athletes, who finished the year on a high note.
Javion Saunders also finished fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 11:50.13.
The women were led by a third place performance in the 800 meter run from
Courtney Humphreys. The sophomore ran a time of 2:45.82 on the afternoon.
Breyonna Conner also competed for the Knights on the day, recording a 10th place mark in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.06 meters.
The Knights finish their season with much to look forward to, as all five of their top ECAC qualifiers will be back next year looking to improve their marks.
