Cimo Named to Atlantic East Second Team

HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their Women's Soccer postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon, and Neumann University's Cara Cimo was named to the All-Conference Second team.

Cimo played in 17 matches for the Knights this season, all starts. She finished with two assists while logging over 1,400 minutes as a defender. "Cara Cimo anchored the back line for Neumann University women's soccer with composure, intelligence, and leadership", coach Kurt Nusshag said. "As a center back, she consistently read the game well, anticipating plays and breaking up attacks before they developed. Cara's communication organized the defense and maintained the team's structure and discipline throughout the season. Strong and confident in one-on-one situations, she also demonstrated poise in possession, often initiating the team's build-up play with precise, accurate passing. Cara is a fierce competitor and undeniable leader!!" This is her second Atlantic East postseason award after being named to the First team last year.

The Knights finished the season with an overall record of 6-11-2 and were 4-3 in Atlantic East Conference play. Finishing in third place, they traveled to Marymount University for the tournament semifinals and dropped a 4-0 decision to close their season.
