GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Kyleigh Joniec of Neumann University Women's Track and Field team competed at the Gwynedd Mercy Last Chance Invitational on Sunday afternoon and eclipsed the rest of the competition in the javelin throw.
 
Joniec fouled in her first throw but in the second round, set the tone with a mark of 27.91 meters. In the third round, she improved by two meters with a 29.53. Her fourth round throw was the winner as she again improved by two meters with a throw of 31.46 meters, a new personal best. Four of her six attempts on the day would have won her the competition as she surpassed the field by over three meters.
 
Kyleigh and the rest of the Track and Field team will look to bring home more accolades as they'll compete in the Atlantic East Conference Championship, starting on Friday, again on the campus of Gwynedd Mercy University.
