LANCASTER, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their 2025 Baseball postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon and Neumann University athletes were well-represented.
Thomas Carroll was named the Player of the Year as well as grabbing all-conference First team honors.
Brandon Colon was also named to the First team as both
Anthony Rakotz and
Zach Mullins were named to the Second team. Additionally, the Knights had the Coaching Staff of the Year.
Carroll played in and started all 40 games this season. He had a batting average of .376 with seven home runs, 13 doubles, 42 runs batted in, and 42 runs scored, all which were top ten in the Atlantic East. His five triples led the conference and his slugging percentage of .671 was second. On April 21
st, he was named the Atlantic East Player of the Week, and on March 24
th, he was named to the weekly Honor Roll.
Colon was the Atlantic East batting champion with a batting average of .413 in 36 games played and 34 starts. He added four homers, a conference-high 18 doubles, a triple, 39 RBI, and 27 runs scored. He was third in slugging percentage with .667 and his .471 on-base percentage was seventh. He was named the conference Player of the Week on April 28
th, and the weekly Honor Roll on April 7
th.
Rakotz finished the season with Atlantic East top ten marks in run scored with 42, hits with 56, and RBI with 35. He hit .352 with three home runs, nine doubles, a triple, and stole 12 bases on 13 attempts. On April 14
th, he was named to the Atlantic East weekly Honor Roll.
Mullins made nine appearances on the mound for the Knights, all starts. He went 2-2 with an ERA of 3.47, which was third best in the conference. In 49.1 innings, he allowed just 19 earned runs on 47 hits and 17 walks, while striking out 20. On April 14
th, he was named the Atlantic East Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Jesse Murphy, and
David Alvarez, improved their win total from last season by nine as they went 27-13 overall, the most wins in a single season since 2013. In conference, they were 11-4, tying for the top spot in the Atlantic East Conference standings. They advanced to the final day of the conference tournament, finishing as the Atlantic East runner-up.
