Knights wrap up conference play on senior night, with a win!!!

The Neumann University Club Ice Hockey team had much to celebrate this weekend!! 

They started their weekend off with a 7-1 win over Seton Hall on Friday evening. Freshmen Goalie Cooper Waltz started the second and third periods and played lights out posting a shutout for his 2 periods. 

On Saturday night, the team celebrated their 5 seniors who will graduate form NU in just a few months. After the celebrations of senior night, the Knights took the ice vs TCNJ and posted a 4-1 win over the Lions! Another Freshmen Goalie (Zach Strunk) was between the pipes for this match up,and also had a steller performance, posting 2 full shutout periods (1st & 3rd) and allowing just 1 goal in the second period. 

Here is a list of the Seniors and their favorite memory from their time with the team!

Team Captain, #61, Aiden Grabowski! Aiden is a Sports Management major. Aidan, a 4 year team member, is originally form Connecticut but now calls Cypress, Texas home. Aiden's favorite memory with the team is going to Nationals in his sophomore year.

Assistant Captain, Number 12, Cameron Wolf! Cameron is a Sports Management major. Cam is a 3 year member of the team and is from Media, PA.  Cameron's favorite memory with the team is when we were stuck on a broken-down bus in the middle of New York.

Number 15, Tyler Ruppert! Tyler is a Business Management major. Tyler isa 4 year member of the team and calls Clifton Heights, PA, Home. Tyler's favorite memory with the team is winning the semifinals game against Kutztown in overtime.

Number 27, Jeremy McCartney! Jeremy is a Sports Management major. Jeremy is a also a 4 year member of the team and is from Levittown, PA. His favorite memory with the team is scoring his first goal.

Number 91, Jacob McCallion! Jacob is a Sports Management major and a Marketing minor. Jacob is a 4 year member of the team from Downingtown, PA.  Jacob's favorite memory with the team is beating Kutztown in overtime his sophomore year.

We want to thank our seniors for their commitment and contributions to this program. We also want to thank the parents and families of our seniors, as this program could not survive without your support of our players and this team. Thank you families, friends, and classmates, for being here as we honor our graduating seniors. Thank you everyone, and Go Knights!
