ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team defeated Cedar Crest College, 1-0, Saturday morning in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match-up on the new turf field at Neumann. 

Caitlin Donahue scored her third goal of the season for the Knights. Maggie Carpenter, who picked up her first collegiate shutout, made five saves in net. 

Donahue scored at the 15:10 mark of the first half, off an assist from Callie Emel. It was all the Knights would need as they kept Cedar Crest off of the board. 

Donahue's goal is also the first field hockey goal scored on the new turf field at Neumann University. 

Neumann is now 2-4 overall this season and 1-0 in conference play. The Knights will travel to Immaculata University on Tuesday for a CSAC contest. The game is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
