ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team fell to Haverford College, 7-0, Monday afternoon in non-conference action.

Maggie Carpenter made 19 saves in net for the Knights. Sam Kotowski had five saves between the pipes in 10 minutes. Terri Yurick had two defensive saves.

The Fords scored the only goal of the first half on a penalty stroke with 1:25 left on the clock.

Haverford then netted six unanswered goals in the second half. The Fords took a 2-0 lead 3:40 into the second half and never looked back.

Neumann (0-8) will open conference play on Wednesday at Keystone College. The game is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
