Field Hockey Picks Up First Win

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey picked up its first win of the season with a 3-1 win over the University of Scranton Saturday afternoon.

Erica Crabtree netted two goals for the Knights. Kelsey Mazur also scored. Lindsey Kasecamp made 16 saves in net.

Scranton scored first in the contest, with under five minutes left in the first half.

The Knights scored all three of their goals in the second half. Mazur tied the game at one in the 43rd minute. Crabtree gave Neumann the lead in the 54th minute. Crabtree then gave the Knights a two-goal cushion with under three minutes remaining in regulation.

Neumann (1-9) will travel to the College of New Jersey on Monday evening for a non-conference game beginning at 7:30 p.m.
