ASTON, Pa.- The Neumann University field hockey team lost to non-conference #6 The College of New Jersey 4-0 Thursday night.

It was a game that Neumann was outshot 28-2. Lindsey Kasecamp (so.Bel Air, Md. / Patterson Mill ) was fantastic making 18 saves and Megan Scott (sr. Sea Cliff, N.Y. / North Shore) contributed three defensive saves. The Lions scored in the first 35 seconds of the game and scored all four goals in the first half. TCNJ moved the ball very well and kept the Knights active. The Knights had a encouraging second half, not allowing any goals and limiting the Lions opportunities. The Lions had the advantage on corners 20-1.

The Knights had their moments getting into the attack as both Kelsey Mazur (jr.Sayreville, N.J. / Sayerville War Memorial) and Melissa Hood (jr.Norristown, Pa. / Kennedy Kenrick) provided shots on goal, both coming in the second half of the game.

The Knights play this Saturday at Wells College at 11 AM in non-conference action.
