ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team lost to non – conference opponents Rowan University 5-1 Thursday afternoon.

The Knights found it hard going in the first half as Rowan outshot the Knights 11-0 before intermission.
The Prof's scored two first half goals in the 15^th and 32 minute and take a 2-0 lead.

A flurry of goals opened up the second half. Three goals in eight minutes into the second half would see the Profs sustain a 4-1 lead.

Ellyn Jones would be the lone scorer for the Knights off an assist from Kenya Woods.

The Profs held the shot count advantage in the second half 10-4, but as the game wound down, the Knights possessed the ball in the Profs defensive end for a considerable amount of time.

Nicole Galvin made 10 saves on the day.

The field hockey team will host Albright College on Senior Day Saturday 10-27 at 11 a.m.
