ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's soccer team defeated City College of New York 5-0 on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

Ashley Hawkins and Tonia Russo each had two goals. Lexi Casper had a goal and an assist. The Knights defense held the Beavers shot-less.

After a flurry of shots that went wide, Neumann opened the scoring in the 13^th minute when Hawkins hit the back of the net off a pass from Alexa DeRose. With just 10 seconds remaining in the first half, Hawkins scored again as Casper tallied the assist.

Russo scored the Knights third goal two minutes into the second half. Russo then assisted on Casper's first goal in the 51^st minute. Russo capped the scoring in the 60^th minute with an assist from Sirelle Torres.

Neumann (6-8-1) wraps up the regular season on Thursday when it travels to Cairn for conference action. The game is slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
