HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and two members of the Neumann University Men's Basketball received recognition.
Donte Dupriest was named the Defensive Player of the Week and
Bryan Etienne earned a spot on the weekly Honor Roll.
Dupriest tallied a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 71-61 win against Muhlenberg in the lone game of the week for Neumann. One of Dupriest's layups put the Knights in the lead for good, 62-60, as the Knights outscored Muhlenberg 13-1 over the final four minutes for the win. This is his third consecutive Defensive Player of the Week awards and the seventh in his two seasons at Neumann.
Etienne was one board shy of a double-double, as he scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win over Muhlenberg. He also handed out three assists. Two of the senior's free throws tied the game at 60, helping the Knights come back and secure the victory. This is the second weekly Honor Roll of his career and first of this season.
Men's Basketball (5-3) is back in action on Monday night with a non-conference game against Penn State Schuylkill starting at 7:00 PM.
