NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced their weekly awards on Tuesday morning and Neumann University Men's Hockey goaltender, Christian Green, was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Green went 2-0 in net as the Knights picked up two crucial wins at Wilkes University. The first year finished the weekend with 55 saves and posted a .948 save-percentage and a 1.50 goals-against-average. In the 2-1 win on Friday, Green made 32 saves. He followed with 23 saves in the 3-2 win on Saturday to complete the weekend sweep.
 
With those wins, Neumann (10-5-1, 9-2-1 MAC) maintained their hold on the top spot in the conference standings. This coming weekend, they'll play a home-and-home series against Misericordia University starting on Friday night at the IceWorks Skating Complex. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
